Our Community Activities
We believe that a local church should be involved in its local community - demonstrating the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ through actions as much as through words.
Film Clubs
The Crabtree Church Cinema Club meets on the first Wednesday of every month, starting promptly at 8pm to show films on our projector and surround sound system. We can't publicly advertise the films we show for licensing reasons, but this year our films have included Schindlers List, Apollo 13, The Worlds Fastest Indian, Amazing Grace and The Last King of Scotland. Leaflets about upcoming films are available in the church. We don't charge for admission, but there is an opportunity to donate towards the costs of obtaining the films and eventually improving our facilities.
The Classic Cinema Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 2.30pm to show classic movies on our projector and surround sound system. Again, we can't publicly advertise the films we show, but our classic films have included O Mister Porter, Ladies Who Do and Kind Hearts and Coronets. Admission is free.
