Urban Saints Seniors

Friday Night. The  sky is darkening over Harpenden town. People are at home, plugging themselves into their telly screens and watching the weird programs on air at 8 in the evening. But there are a few who want more. They want something fun, something involving. So a revolutionary person or maybe a few people set up Urban Saints at Crabtree Church. Urban Saints is a great place to come on a Friday night, when you've been absolutely bored out of your skull all week at school. There's loads of kids there, who are feeling pretty much the same way. So they all go to Urban Saints and have fun! There's loads to do there - table tennis, uni-hockey, talk, play the piano, play a random game...although most people choose to play 'Urban Saints Football'.

Urban Saints football is football with a difference. Instead of goals, you have small goals, and instead of kicking the ball, you have the odd few who miss the ball completely. This fast paced game uses all your strength and concentration in an attempt to get the ball in the goal, and it is one of the most fun games known to man, or at least to the people who have played it.

Another great thing about Urban Saints is that you'll get to meet all sorts of great people: Niall, Vaughan, Davi-o, Rachel, Mawi, Alex, Carol and of course, Richard: the man who is Richard -  lead the groups and are great people to get to know. And then there's the other people who go. Kids of your age in all shapes and sizes who just wanna have a laugh and learn about God.

But that isn't what Urban Saints is really about. That's just an added bonus. At Urban Saints, we can all learn from the Bible, and learn about God's awesomeness. We watch films or listen to music during the talks to help make the point at times, and at others we just discuss about what our opinion is on something. You may even get a chance to hear Davi-o's amazing talk on the Crucifixion or the creation of the Universe, or experience one of Alex's talks, which are always great fun. So why don't you come along? What harm could it do? Meet new friends, have a great time, and get to know more about the amazing God that created the world you see everyday, and especially, created you.
