Songs of Praise
A short, Christian service for those with special needs and their carers.
Every third Wednesday morning in the month, at Crabtree Church. Crabtree Lane, Harpenden from 10.30 a.m. to 11.15 a.m.
This service was started just over a year ago as a result of the Churches Community Reception and we regularly get over twenty special needs folk and their carers, making a congregation of some thirty people. Our new church building has proved to be ideal, with its' large car park and street level access. We have seen real spiritual growth in those attending and we have been able to build good relationships with the carers.
A number of those who come, have expressed a desire to join us at church on Sunday. However when we checked with their care home managers this was not possible as the staffing levels are reduced at the weekend. So we are doing ‘Sunday on Wednesday’ for these folk who give us such joy. We count this service a great privilege.
